1. The words "error" or "waiting" appear on the display screen
Firstly, check whether there is any cover on the lens support or the light source is blocked because the printing mechanism is not reset, so that the machine cannot receive the light source signal. If there is too much dust accumulated on the optical lens, this phenomenon will also occur; at this time, the object on the optical lens must be removed or the dirt on the optical lens must be removed before troubleshooting.
2. The degree is inaccurate
First check whether it is caused by wrong setting of Abbe number. As mentioned earlier, when testing lenses, the Abbe number should be set at around 58, otherwise measurement errors will occur. If the Abbe number is set correctly, then further check whether the cylindrical power or spherical power appears without measurement due to dust on the optical lens. If there is dust on the optical lens, blow off the dust on the surface of the lens with a suction ear ball, or wipe it gently with a cotton swab dipped in absolute ethanol to avoid scratching the lens. If the lens support is worn out, the measurement indication will be inaccurate, and the lens support needs to be replaced in time.
3. The dotting mechanism is inaccurate or the printing marks are not clear
(1) Whether the printing mark of the printing optical center of the dot mechanism is accurate or not can be self-calibrated with a +15D spherical lens. Put the +15D spherical lens on the lens meter to align the center, make the prism power zero and print the center mark. Then rotate the lens 180° and center it again until the prism is zero, and print the mark. Half of the distance between two center marks shall not exceed 0.4mm. If it exceeds, you can adjust the limit screw on the top of the dotting mechanism until the axis mark of the optical center is concentric with the optical axis of the lens meter, then tighten the fixing screw and then carry out verification until it meets the requirements.
(2) The dotting mechanism of the auto-focus meter generally uses a ten-thousand-time pen. When the ink of the Wanci pen is used up, there will also be a phenomenon that the focus meter cannot make dots or dots are not clear. At this time, the dotting mechanism can be removed, and ink can be refilled into the pen, or a new Wanci pen can be replaced directly.
