(1) The results of computer optometry measurement can only be used as the initial data of optometry, but not as the final prescription, and finally combined with subjective optometry and try-on.
(2) Keep the head upright and the eyes at the same level when measuring, and look straight ahead; any tilt of the head and eye positions may cause deviations in the results, especially the deviation of the axial direction of astigmatism and the astigmatism diopter.
(3) Near-sensing adjustment or instrumental myopia often make the results of spherical mirrors negative, and the spherical mirror results of computer optometry can be appropriately increased as the starting point of optometry; different manufacturers and different designs of optometry have different degrees of spherical mirror deviation , the examiner can sum up the empirical formula to get the calibration value.
(4) The axial and diopter errors of astigmatism are less than those of spherical lenses.
(5) If the results of several measurements deviate greatly from each other during the measurement process, it is necessary to repeat the measurement for more than five times, and take the two closest values or the values with higher reliability as the final result.
(6) If the reliability is lower than 80%, repeat the measurement.
(7) If the ptosis or long eyelashes cover the cornea, an assistant is required to lift the upper eyelid to a suitable position.
(8) Those who have tear film instability, keratoconus, keratitis, corneal refractive surgery, unclear refractive medium, small or irregular pupils, accommodation spasms, and poor fixation function may make the measurement results Unreliable or unmeasurable; requires combination with retinoscopy for objective refraction.
(9) When the pupil is too small to measure, measure after the pupil is dilated.
(10) When the diopter of the eye to be inspected exceeds +/-20.00 D, it usually indicates that the measurement limit is exceeded and measurement cannot be performed.
(11) If measuring cataract extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation, select the intraocular lens (IOL) option in the parameters.
(12) Do not move the head during the measurement, otherwise it will affect the IPD result.
